I met Justin Osborne of South Carolina band SUSTO when they played their first ever full band show in London at a club called Omeara.
The setlist was a mix from their two albums, the 2014 self-titled debut and the 2016 follow-up record "& I'm Fine Today" incl. all my favorite songs like "Hard Drugs", "Dream Girl", "Friends, Lovers, Ex-Lovers: Whatever", "Jah Werx" and many more songs about drugs, god and friendship.
Their sound is somewhere between Indie Rock ("Far Out Feeling"), Americana / Alt-Country ("Friends, Lovers, Ex-Lovers: Whatever") and Brit Pop (yes, you can hear some Oasis if you listen to a song like "Cigarettes, Whiskey & Wine").
Justin's songwriting and voice is really outstanding. Try to catch one of their upcoming shows...!
