Jonathan Tyler shares his 10 favorite albums of 2018

Jonathan Tyler from Texas plays "Rock with a twist of Blues and Country" according to his own Facebook page. His band Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights has been formed in Dallas in 2007. The band got signed by Atlantic Records, released their debut album and toured with ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black Crowes and Kid Rock.

As it turned out, the major label route wasn't the right thing for Jonathan and after troublesome years incl. legal battles over the name rights for "The Northern Lights" he has found creative freedom with his own label, love with his girlfriend Nikki Lane (he co-produced her latest album "Highway Queen") and friends with The Texas Gentlemen and half of the Texas music scene who gather at his annual boutique style outlaw festival "Where is The Hideout?" during SXSW.

He is an absolute killer guitar player and one of my favorite live artists. His latest release is "Holy Smokes" from 2015 and I can't wait to hear new music from him - hopefully in 2019...!
